Real Life Horror Story : Beware the Day Stealer

*WARNING: This is a short horror story that is entirely TRUE.

Beware the Day Stealer

Beware the smell that is not there, for the doorless ring draws near and near. Along the hall hints subtle changes. Threw the hour proves challenging visions. Draw the curtains before the knocking. Don’t let fear in for the monsters come faster. Just pretend to sleep before hands pull you under. Awake threw the night, the knocking only grows louder. Unable to beat that which can not be seen, helpless you must wait; till the next day, only to endure again. Beware the Day Stealer.

Poetry Explained:

Beware the smell that is not there,

Olfactory hallucination ex. Smell of smoke when nothing is burning. Rotten eggs when there are no eggs to be rotten.  √A fake smell is commonly one of the first symptoms of an oncoming Migraine head ache.

for the doorless ring draws near and near.

High pitched ringing in one or both ears. No one else can hear it. No one is at the door. Nothing is wrong with the lightbulbs.

Along the hall hints subtle changes.

A feeling of fog or blurred vision.

Threw the hour proves challenging visions.

Disoriented with confusion, blurred vision and loss of balance, feeling dizzy.

Draw the curtains before the knocking.

Light sensitivity, light hurts eyes or feels to be blinding.

Draw the curtains before the knocking.

Attempting to avoid what is known to fallow the previous symptoms.

Don’t let fear in for the monsters come faster.

With panic, the pain is known to come on faster and harder. Stress can only make things worse.

Just pretend to sleep before hands pull you under.

A heavy feeling overwhelms your body as if your being pulled to the grounds. When laying down is the best thing that you can do to prevent it from getting worse.

Awake threw the night, the knocking only grows louder.

The pain of the migraine has taken hold, mimicking your heart beet threw out your head. The more pain you are in, the faster it can beet.

Unable to beat that which can not be seen, helpless you must wait;

The heavy feeling of your head with throbbing while the rest of your body is numb, unable to roll over.

till the next day, only to endure again.

Ounce it’s gone, you know another migraine head ache could come on at anytime of any day. Knowing there is nothing to completely stop it or fully prevent it each and everytime.

Beware the Day Stealer.

You could be doing anything yet even without provoking, it could still hit you when you’re doing everything right.
